  • LUNCH DUTY | Axios

Welcome to Lunch Rams! No super hero cape needed, we’ve got you covered: Moms, Dads, and grandparents are invited to sign up to serve lunch to the students at Axios If all families signed up once per month, it would cover all of our shifts. We understand that for some families that may not be possible each semester, but please consider volunteering when your schedule allows. This is a fantastic chance to get to know our school community better by serving alongside fellow parents and meeting administrative staff. It is a great opportunity to see your student(s) with their friends and show your student(s) the importance of serving others. Download Instructions LOWER SIGN UP MIDDLE & UPPER SIGN UP 01 How do I sign up for Lunch Warriors? Please click on either the Lower School (GREEN) or Middle & Upper School (PINK) button above to review the available slots below and click on the button for the shift desired to sign up. Thank you so much for volunteering your time to serve our school, students, and administration in this way. 02 Why do we need volunteers for Lunch Warriors? In order to serve a hot lunch, we must have volunteers to help serve the students. The caterers/restaurants who are our food vendors do not provide staff to serve food. This allows us to keep down the costs of food. The administrative and custodial staff have very busy days in other areas and are unable to fill this need regularly. Volunteers allow the school to keep paid positions working in the best way for the function of the school and keep labor costs low. It is a truly wonderful way for parents and other family members to be a part of the school community, meet otherAxios community members, and gain insight into your child(ren)’s day. 03 When do we serve? The shifts are detailed in the sign-ups because they are different for each division and day. The Lower School shifts are from 10:45 AM - 12:05 PM each day. Middle School & Upper School shifts are 12:05-12:30 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. We do not need M/US volunteers on Wednesdays as there is no hot lunch option. 04 What if I need to switch the lunch duty day I have signed up for? If something comes up the day of, contact Axios staff.. 05 How do I know if a student needs help? Students will raise their hands when they need help or have a question. 06 What do I do if discipline issues arise? The teacher on duty will address any discipline issues. If they have not witnessed what you are seeing you may make them aware. 07 May Lower School students use the microwave or may I microwave things for them? No. The microwaves are a privilege reserved for the teachers/staff and M/US students. 08 May Lower School students use the microwave or may I microwave things for them? Ask the teacher on duty to handle that request—they will know better how to handle that. 10 What if a student needs more water? You may use the sink to refill their water bottle. 11 What if a student forgot something in their classroom and requests to get it? • AFFORDABILITY | Axios

If you think you can't afford a private, Christian education. Think again. Axios Offers Variable Tuition We're committed to making education affordable . 01 What is Variable Tuition? Variable Tuition is a similar tuition support program used by many private schools, colleges, and universities. This program allows families to apply for a tuition that is adjusted to their unique financial situations. Our Variable Tuition program makes a Axios education affordable to families who value the distinct Christian classical education. 02 How Does Variable Tuition Work? Any family may apply for Variable Tuition to reduce the full tuition rate at Axios. Many factors are considered when determining if tuition support is appropriate as well as the amount. Factors in all cases include what a family is able to pay, income, assets, unusual expenses, and the size of the family. An application for Variable Tuition does not impact the admission process. Regardless of potential support, parents should initiate the admission process as early as possible. Families may apply for Variable Tuition only after they have applied for admission to Axios. Axios is not in a position to estimate the tuition level for which a family might qualify without the completion of a Variable Tuition application. Applications are submitted directly to FACTS, a confidential, third-party “tuition management” agency. FACTS evaluates information provided in the application and makes a recommendation for Variable Tuition. Families are then notified by Axios of the level of support offered. 03 Do I need to apply to Axios to find out my Variable Tuition amount? Yes. All families interested in sending their child(ren) to Axios should complete an admissions application before applying for Variable Tuition. 04 Upon completion of my Variable Tuition application, when will I receive confirmation of my Variable Tuition? Typically you will receive confirmation within two weeks of providing all required information to our confidential third-party service. 05 What is the cost to apply for Variable Tuition? The cost to apply for Variable Tuition through FACTS is $40. We believe so strongly in our Christian Classical education that we want to provide assistance to as many families as possible from a wide range of economic backgrounds.
